C.H. Johnson Consulting was recently contracted by The Board of the Grand Theater Corporation to conduct a feasibility study on the Wheaton Grand Theater restoration project. Built in 1925 and since listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Theater occupies a prominent position in Downtown Wheaton. The non-profit Board of the Wheaton Grand Theater is the driving force behind proposed redevelopment of the Theater in downtown Wheaton.
The study analyzed the opportunity of having the Theater provide arts and entertainment performances for DuPage County and the surrounding western suburbs of Chicago. The goals of the project are to enrich the quality of life for its citizens and assist in the economic development of the Village.
C.H. Johnson Consulting provided several services to the Board of the Wheaton Grand Theater Corporation which included, market analysis as to the feasibility of such a renovation, the appropriate size of the renovated theater based on market demand, and counseled the owners of the theater on their request for bond support for the renovation. C.H. Johnson Consulting worked hand in hand with the owners of the theater to ensure that the community of Wheaton would have the best possible pubic performance venue.
